About me
2013:
Months after I did the first draft of my website, I still didn’t write anything in this section, where I’m supposed to write about ….me. But what should I write and not make it sound like a CV? After all, I’d like to think that I’m more than just a series of events and skills.
So, because you’re here, I’ll assume it’s because you’d like to know me a bit and find out about my work. If you ended up on this page looking for instructions on how to make the best knot for a tie, latest world news, to order food or to simply watch a kinky video, I’m afraid you’ll be massively disappointed. Sorry.
So, who am I? My name is Madalin Botezatu and I’m a composer. Sure, I can do other things as well; that also doesn’t mean that I’m THE composer, but this is what I love doing and hopefully, in time I’ll reach a point when I’ll say that I’m a composer proudly and justified, without feeling the need to explain more why I consider myself that.
Of course, I’ve had quite a lot of experiences and studies in this field; I could say that I’ve been studying it for the most part of my life, that I studied 700 instruments and that I know all the music history of all genres of all time, since the first genius hit a rock with another rock. But that doesn’t really matter, does it? One could know and study everything, and still not have that inner thing that would make his music true art. And vice versa.
So I’ll just let my music speak for itself. Know me through it. Some of you might like it, others might not. But if one of you will get a quarter of feeling that I get when I listen to something from John Williams, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman or Hans Zimmer, I’ll consider my work done.
And yes, I realize that all the musicians I mentioned are soundtrack composers. That’s probably because this would be my ultimate dream: to write scores for films.
But enough monologuing…
Have a listen to some of my songs, and feel free to contact me about anything.
Thank you!

2020:
2013 Mãdãlin was adorable.
Anyway, what happened in the meantime....
University finished, started singing my own music, made my first score for a feature-length film, released my first album as BTM Project (which is now the entity under which I release my music), started making music videos for some of the songs..... it's nice, exciting.
And, I made some great friends along the way.
I still hope you enjoy something from my work.
